21.05.2021 - A great recognition involved the Rally di Roma Capitale which together with the Rally of the Azores is the first event of the FIA ​​Europan Rally Championship to deserve the two stars in the context of the FIA ​​Environmental Accreditation Program, the program of the Federation Internationale de l 'Car that rewards virtuous events from the point of view of respect and environmental protection.
 
The important attribution was obtained at the end of an accurate evaluation and review procedure which confirmed the Capitoline event as an excellence also from this important point of view. Indeed, the FIA's environmental accreditation program aims to help international motorsport players, primarily the organizers, to measure and improve their environmental performance, introducing an organizational philosophy oriented towards clear and consistent environmental management in motorsport and mobility. in general.
 
The evaluation system takes into account numerous parameters including the presence of personnel dedicated to the study of practices aimed at environmental protection, objectives, communication, energy use, water consumption, waste sorting and recovery management, respect for the territory, emissions and more. The Rally di Roma Capitale, which has made a request for certification based on an approach that is increasingly oriented towards the enhancement of these aspects, has greatly strengthened the green attention in recent editions. An example are the electric mopeds used at the Ostia Village in 2019, or the separate collection carried out in the most important places of the rally or the monitoring of waste production at the service park.
