An excellent second place that is worth maintaining the lead in the standings. The fifth round of the National Trophy SS600 ends with a hint of bitterness in the mouth for Armando Pontone. After yesterday's pole position, the Bike & Motor Team rider was confident of a victory but a collision with Coletti and other rivals proved fatal. In fact, from the same, a disintegration of the group originated and from which Saltarelli and "Armanduk" emerged.

Saltarelli imposed his winning pace, Pontone kept second place in a great way ahead of Marcheluzzo who, at the end of a great fight with Finello, managed to win. The class '92 of Villa Santa Lucia, as previously mentioned, retains the first place in the general classification but with this success Saltarelli jumped behind him to second position: «It was another great race - he said - too bad for the contact occurred on the second lap with an opponent of mine. I gritted my teeth and with fast laps I was able to get me back ahead, just touching the victory. I assign myself a nice 9.5 because the way it was done was not at all easy. The reference goes to contact with Coletti, I managed to straighten the bike with coldness and clarity. But it was a real shame, this thing penalized me and unfortunately in the National Trophy you pay every little negative event. Saltarelli was very good at making the most of the moment, despite having recovered he still ran fast, crossing the finish line in first position. On the last lap I arrived attacked, but without being able to put in the winning overtaking. However, I thank the Bike & Motor Racing Team because they are proving to be extraordinary professionals, Motorsport Italia and all those who are supporting me. I felt so much the warmth of the people who came to cheer for me in the stands, I hope I made them proud and happy. Thanks to the Cotek8 association, to my lawyer Nicolò Rossi, to the Motoclub Franco Mancini 2000 and to Salvatore Polselli, who was close to me throughout the weekend. I dedicate this second place to my girlfriend and my family ».

Now head to the next races: «Staying first in the standings is important, it is clear that in the next outings the concentration will have to become maximum because we cannot afford to make mistakes. With my athletic trainer, Giorgio Bonfigli, we will prepare in the best way possible for the sixth round which will take place at the end of August at Mugello. I carry the experience of an exciting and thrilling race with me. I am proud of myself and the hope is to be able to give important joys to all my fantastic team. "
